This year’s staging of the Davis Cup Group Americas Group III Qualifying Event will be held in Montevideo, Uruguay,June 12-17, 2017.
Only the best players from a country are selected to represent Jamaica in this prestigious event. Our team Trials will be held May 18-21, 2017 at the Eric Bell Tennis Center, Kingston, Jamaica.
At this time, Tennis Jamaica is in the process of naming the team to represent Jamaica. To be eligible for participation in our Team Trials and ultimately represent Jamaica, players must:
Hold a valid Jamaican passport and/or be eligible to hold a Jamaican passport by May 1, 2017.
Have or had a National, ITF, ATP or NCAA Ranking or equivalent standard of play. For further clarification Tennis Jamaica’s Selection Criteria is attached.
Trials will be in a round robin format, ideally with sixteen (16) players in four (4) groups of four (4). The top players from each group will then play off for the final team selection. Match play will start at 9am each day.

Should you also hold a passport from a country other than Jamaica, on which you will travel, please send copies on that passport as well. Please note: for travel to South America, passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after initial travel date – i.e passports must not expire before December 2017.
